Florida coronavirus: State reports eleventh straight day of under 5,000 new cases
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida health officials reported fewer than 5,000 new cases of coronavirus for the eleventh straight day Wednesday.
The state verified 3,220 new cases Wednesday. It’s the eleventh day in a row the daily case count has been below 5,000. Among the new cases, health officials reported a 5.75% positivity rate.

Police: Florida woman slaps Black child, calls him racial slur after go-kart crash
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Police arrested a Florida woman over the weekend after she allegedly slapped a Black boy and called him a racial slur at an amusement park in Boca Raton.
The Palm Beach Post reports Haley Zager, 30, of Lantana, was arrested and charged with child abuse on Saturday night after an incident on the go-kart track at Boomers.
