Authorities: Man responsible for New Port Richey graffiti arrested, facing felonies

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — The person authorities said is responsible for multiple instances of graffiti has been taken into custody in Pasco County.

According to New Port Richey police, 27-year-old Zachary Michael Cabral-Cuprey has been arrested and is being charged with two felony counts and three misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief.

Authorities said during the last several weeks, areas along the US 19 corridor on the west side of Pasco County and Tarpon Springs have been tagged with graffiti.

New Port Richey Police Department, Port Richey Police Department and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office put out several pictures of an unidentified suspect, asking the public for help.

On Monday, the sheriff’s office received a tip and identified the suspect as Cabral-Cuprey, of Holiday.

Authorities said Cabral-Cuprey was taken into custody as a result of the combined efforts of the agencies.

Additional charges are pending.
