Thousands come out each year to check out the street parade, boat parade, Native American Festival, carnival, nightly concerts, vendors and more.

A lot of the money made during the Chasco Fiesta is donated to local organizations.

“It’s a sense of community,” said organizer Cami Austin. “Everyone comes together. And for a lot of the non-profits, the money they make at the Fiesta sustains them throughout the year so that’s a good thing.”

The Chasco Fiesta is open from noon to 10:30 PM, running daily through April 3rd.

Many of the festivities are held at Sims Park, which is being fenced off for security this year. Due to that change, there is a $5 charge to enter into that area, except Monday which will be free for Native American Day.

The carnival has been moved to 5520 Grand Blvd. There’s no admission there and a free shuttle will run from the festival to the carnival.

Among the highlights are the street parade, which will be held on Saturday March 25th, featuring more than 100 floats from 1-4 PM.

The following Saturday, April 2nd, is the annual boat parade from 1-3 PM.
