Rachel only gets to visit with Becky on FaceTime. Becky and her family are missionaries living in Poland, and with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, millions of refugees are fleeing to the neighboring country.

Amidst the growing crisis, the sisters have begun collecting money on their Qulited Twins website to fund food, clothes, diapers and other personal basic items to aid Poland in this time of need.

In the past days, the war in Ukraine has been getting closer to Poland, and while Becky says she is uneasy about the situation, she is not panicked.

“As the Russian troops are getting closer to the border. Do you have any sense of that? Do you feel any fear? I think the word is ‘concern,’ not fear. Awareness. I haven’t gotten fear from the people I know,” she said.

With PayPal and credit card fees paid by the sisters, more than $90,000 has been raised and sent, but much more is needed.

Rachel said she recalled a conversation she had with a woman in Poland thanking her for all her and her sister are doing to help the Ukrainians.

“She was a Polish national and she said, ‘Rachael, it hasn’t been that long,’ and I said, ‘You guys are being so generous,’ and she goes, ‘We remember.’ That’s what she said to me. ‘We remember’.”
