Royal Caribbean needs volunteers for test cruises

PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. (WESH) — Royal Caribbean is seeking volunteers for trial cruises as it prepares to make a comeback after the entire industry was shuttered due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The test cruises will be a way for the cruise line to test and show off safety measures.

Florida COVID nurses surprised with island vacation

MIAMI (AP) — Over a dozen Miami nurses and front line health care workers are finally getting a well-deserved break.

The group was scheduled for an upcoming  mandatory, aka boring, 48-hour training, but were instead surprised Tuesday with certificates to a vacation in the Florida Keys.

Central Florida to become country’s first hub for ‘flying cars’

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The nation’s first regional hub for “flying cars” is being built in central Florida, and once completed in five years, the vehicles will be able to take passengers from Orlando to Tampa in a half hour.

The Tavistock Development Corp. said Wednesday it was constructing a Jetsons-like  aviation facility in Orlando’s Lake Nona area. Tavistock built the mixed-use planned community. Lake Nona already is home to several medical and research facilities.
