New Port Richey Depression Continues to Grow

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — A small depression near Varsity Club on Little Road in New Port Richey isn’t so small anymore.

The depression that opened more than a week ago along Spring Haven Boulevard is now more than 40 feet wide and 130 feet deep, according to Pasco County.

Spring Haven Boulevard is shut down at Little Road, impacting a clinic, a doctor’s office, and a small condo community.  

One Lane of Little Road southbound is also closed one block north of State Road 54.  

Pasco County crews will re-assess the depression, which grew larger over the weekend.

So far the county has not determined when the depression will be fixed and when the roads in the area will be re-opened.
