PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Pasco County Utilities is issuing a precautionary boil water notice for residents in the Talavera and Conner Crossing neighborhoods, and those along U.S. 41 between State Road 52 and Talavera Parkway.

The water distribution system in this area will be shut down at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21 for utility crews to relocate an underground valve in the area of U.S. 41 and SR 52. Pasco County Utilities said the notice will affect about 830 homes.

Water service will be restored after the work has been completed, but Pasco County Utilities said as a precautionary measure, all water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled for at least one minute. Icemakers should be turned off and any ice made during the shutdown or 12 hours after service is restored should be thrown out.

Pasco County Utilities said the boil notice will be lifted when tests show the water is safe for drinking and cooking.
